It's time for me to get new pads and maybe rotors too. I was set on the Porterfields, but PBR sound good too? Which PBR's do you guys recommend?

I bought my PBR pads from thebenzbin.com.
I'm using stock Benz rotors all round with PBR ultimate pads on my 95' C36.

Great braking power.....and even better for high speed highway runs. You can heat them up like crazy and it makes a very slight difference in performance.

And your rims will stay nice and clean.

Can anyone tell me the difference between Porterfield and PBR. I read about the brake sensor hole, is that something I'll need? Anything else, price comparison? Also, what's the difference between the PBR Original Deluxe and Deluxe Plus?

Call BMA auto parts cheapest. And free shipping for over $50 brakes and rotors are heavy ya know so this is awesome !

I think I payed like under $200 for all 4 rotors and pads!

Yes but it's necessary to change also the caliper.

Since I'm also interested because next to change also my front disk rotors I'm thinking to other performance product but I'm quite worried to possible "squeaking" noise that normally performance disc brake/pads may produce.

How much for that? Have you changed also the caliper?

Yes, it is the whole C32 AMG braking system. The calipers are Brembo, on the reverse side of the AMG/ it has the brembo stamp. The brake kit is all MB parts, you will need the calipers, brake pads, and 2 front cross drilled rotors. I paid about $650 usd for all the parts. Labor varies shop to shop. It is a very cheap alternative to upgrading the brakes, compared to buying a brembo gt or stoptech kit. If your running stock 15 or 16" wheels they will not clear the AMG BBK. I have 18" Brabus mono V et 35 and they clear it perfectly. Any AMG rim will also clear the kit.

Really a work well done. But since mine have 16" and I can't spend too much, I'm looking only to other performance alternative as aftermarket company, as may be Brembo itself that may produce dedicated aftermarket disc for a lot of cars.

Thanks again for your reply and information

PS: I'm wondering also if it is possible and good to utilize reinforced metal brake pipe in way of caliper.

i'd go with the Porterfield R4S, i have them on 2 cars now they are awesome, great stopping power and no dust

ps: Porterfields are one of the lowest in noise, if somehow yours made noise it's because you didn't embed them properly ;)

here's good link how to embed pads gl

I'm about to order PBR Deluxe Plus pads from an eShop. First off if anyone has anything to say against buying these particular pads, please let me know. I was quoted $58 for the rear, $49 for the front and $24 for shipping (totaling $131 U.S). Is this a good price or can I get some cheaper? I tried looking at some of the links you guys posted but I wasn't sure if I how to find the right chassis class or whatever it asks me for. Help me out if you can...

Thanks.
