Fellow 202 pilots,
I bought new rims for my car, 17’s, 225/45, and z rated tires. I hit the highway and the car began to shake. I increase the speed, it went away at 75mph and came back at 85. So I went back the shop and asked the owner if the rims were “Hub Centric†which his answer was no. So they order some plastic rings to put around the hubs, balanced the wheels again and off I went. IT STILL SHAKES!! What Gives? IS this common? I can understand a corvette like ride rims due to the smaller sidewalls but this left to right shaking? Any Advise?
