Ok i am contemplating light up door sills but after reading forums most guys tap into the puddel light which then leads to all the sills lighting up regardless if the door is open.
when I was installing my alarm I though of this; each door has a little button switch to tell the car when a door has been opened and then activated the doom lights and any door puddle lights, i had a multimeter attached and when the switch is opend it produces 12 v, what i was thinking is to wire the sills, one lead from the sill to one side of the switch and the other lead to the other side there for when the door opens in principle the only sill that should light up is the one that is open. also when wireing to these switches there is no need to cut anything and you can used connectors you can buy at your local hardware store.
Who thinks that this will work and achive that only the sill with the open door lights up.
or is this the way you guys have been doing it and i just didn't catch it.
