Im currently replacing IC piping and was wondering if i should shift the MAS closer to the throttle body even though I have'nt increased boost yet...but will soon

Is the reason for shifting the mass because it is more accurate at reading actual airflow when closer to the throttle body??

If someone could explain the reason for shifting the MAS please do:) :)

Paul

Basically the reason for moving the MAS closer to the throttle body is when you have a pulley upgrade.. there is excessive turbulance through the pipe causing a miss reading from the MAS which in turn causes a hesitaion while in second gear and trying to accelerate. I experienced this when I put my Kleemann kit on and didnt do the MAS upgrade right away, I quickly did it after as it was so frigin annoying with the hesitation.

I think most pulley kits for the supercharger come with a relocation kit.. so there isnt really any need for you to do it now.

oh....and i was think'n...
all my IC piping will be different to factory,so the relocation piping may not fit well...

so i will shift it now.... ;) ;)
