While there are no specific Threads to your item at question, the subject of HID's have been discussed and discussed.

If you want to do them right, go OEM. Hands down the best, no argument.

Also, in the future tey and be a little more elaborate in the subject. Maybe something like: "Any thoughts on this HID kit?"

i've been looking for some hid's lately...~400$ for these aftermarkets seem alot...why don't you just go OEM, off cars like audi's(a4's and TT's) and bmw's(e46..etc) . it cost less and it will be nice and good quality some even include the projectors for that price. not alot of modding is required for just the HID's also.

for that price you can get oem ballasts and bulbs without the projectors. Doing a retrofit doesn't seem that easy....slammedC was trying to do it, and it looked good from what i saw, but he said it's not done or will never be done. That was the only time i ever saw a w202 with projectors or at least came close to it.

Anyone tried the Mcculloch HID H7 kit from Ebay? I'm thinking about getting it but worry about having too much glare using the halogen housing.

the glare isn't too bad on aftermarket hid's in our housing....the light pattern is really bad , but the road is considerably brighter. I'm sure the bekkers or oem hid housing has a nice straight cut off line .... any headlight you look at directly that has hid's is going to blind you regardless of housing.

only problem, my "light's out" icon turns on everytime i turn on my headlights....i hate seeing it...I WISH SOMEONE ON THIS FORUM WOULD HELP ME...

Take out your cluster - unplug the bulb to your 'light out' indicator. Fiola!

Kswiss. Does your HID kit use relays? Maybe that's why you have
the light bulb failure.

Kswiss,
I think that the bulb failure light comes on when there is a change in ohm load (resistance) within the circuitry. Something that you could do to fix it, is put in resistors so that your ohm load with your lights on matches that of a stock headlighted car. There is a formula to figure out what you would need and I think that it is V=IR where O is the voltage I is the current and R is the resistance. If you can get your car to match a stock car, there shouldnt be a problem.
