Has anyone tried installing speakers in the kick panels. Whats back there? I'm thinking about doing 4" or 5 1/4" with 1" tweeters if there is enough clearance.

are you going to buy/build a kick panel?
Or are you going to try installing a speaker at the original kick panel?
The kick panel is very tight. You will have alot of wires for the power seats, mirror adjustment, and vacuum line for door lock.

Here is a kick panel by Q Form

I'm thinking of building out the kick panels rather than buying the Q forms. To me the Q forms are so obvious and obtrusive. I'm looking for the stealth look. I also want to make sure that the dead pedal is not blocked and the parking brake is still functional.

I'm considering a 4" mid w/ 1" tweeter and then using some 6 1/2" midbass in the doors.

What do you guys think?

I am using a Q-form and the deal pedal is obviously gone.

However the e-brake/parking brake pedal is working fine.

If you want to build a kick panel and keep the deal pedal that is not possible due to very limited space. (having kick panel and dead pedal might possible for other vehicle, depending on the space down there.) But there is definitely limited space for W202.

You gotta pick dead pedal or kick panel...

yeah i like to know more about that tweeter install as well. Also I have Q-Forms in my honda and they don't stick out as much as they do on the 202s but not having the dead pedal sucks and forgetting about not having it and kicking the speakers sucks even more. But I can feel the base rumble on the floor so thats pretty tight.

The speaker pod actually came from Pioneer set (that is specifically design for W202 fitment).

So I took out the original tiny Pioneer tweeter from the housing and modified the housing to house my a/d/s tweeters... ;)

These Pioneer W202 custom fitment not available for sale in US.
I purchased mine from UK, so they shipped it directly to me.. :D

Do you have some more info (i.e. number or website) from where you ordered and how much they cost you

Do a google search on TS-H2AT

That is the model number on the pioneer custom fit speakers.
