I am thinking of getting a factory spoiler for my 99 c43.
Is it a must for me to drill holes on the trunk to get it installed?
Can anybody suggest any strong adhesive (weather proof of course) that can hold such spoiler? I don't care if it damages the paint when I need to take out the spoiler as long as I do not need to get a new trunk + painting it when ever I have to sell the car away.

if you had some strong adhesive and it damages the paint when you remove it...you'll still need new paint. lol

i installed my spoiler without drilling any holes. i used some 3M extra strength weather resistant double sided tape. Its strong enough to hold the spoiler down. so strong im afraid to remove it now cause i might damage the spoiler. i bought it at Home Depot.

Well as I said, I rather had the trunk repainted than buying a new trunk + painting it.
marksbenz.. What kind of adhesive did you use? brand? type?
>>For my part I dont care if I damage the spoiler when I have to take it out.. Bought it off ebay for $40 (Highest bidder) on a $100 odd BUY IT NOW listing :D

Which spoiler are you putting on? "factory" is meaningless in this case...
