Suggestions are greatly appreciated on whether I should go with the c230 K or the basic c230

I am primarily looking for reliable transportation...

What is the reliability of the c230K engine and the serviceability?

I am looking at the '99 or '00 model year.

Thanks in advance...

If youre looking for a 99-00 model in the states you'll only have a choice of the kompressor. I believe 98 was the only year of the non kompressor 230.

You'll be more happier with the kompressor. Ask Mr.Space as to what he has done to squeeze more power out of his.

Thanks Nokia,

I'm in Canada BTW.

Why do you say the c230K engine is better... Other than the obvious (performance) is it just as reliable down the road if I intend to keep it for 150k miles +...

i dont think you will want to keep a car taht long, it will have more problems then you want it to..i came up to 148K and could not take it anymore and sold it

But youre not telling him the condition you bought your car in. ;)

I can tell you from experience that the non Komp. C230 is pretty lacking in performance though. There definately aren't many on the road.

nokia: My car's a '97, i thought they only made 'em in 96-97'.
