What is the difference between non-xenon and xenon aftermarket headlight?
Can I transfer my HID system into non-xenon headlight?

they don't say mercedes on them at bekkers, just like their clear corners, I thought I was buying OEM parts, maybe it is, but they burn off the mercedes symbols, which is what I want

Try the dealer.

This thread should be in Electronics.

get OEM/Bekkers or nothing

and get electronic or vacuum leveling

it's been discussed many many times, and the conclusion is always to get OEM/Bekkers.

Well I am not upgrading to xenon I have xenon on my car now.
I broke the plastic "hinge" that is connected to this sort of metal/wire latch that holds the D2R bulbs on the driver side. Since the bulb is not being held firmly, it is giving me problem with the auto-leveling mechanism and of course the headlights are not level. Now I starts to see condensation on the inside of the glass.
So, my real question is - Can I transfer my existing OEM HID system into non-xenon headlight? Since they cost only 200 odd $ for one side compared to bekkers $1349 pair.
any problem with mounting? or heat resistance on the material since HID burns hotter?

I know there is DOT code and E-code lenses, but I think there is also another different one for xenon

I think you can, but the lens for the xenon and non-xenon are different. Soemthing to do with the light pattern, non-xenon will be all over the place.
