I was changing my brakes b/c they gone, Metal to Metal. At first i thought the Pad part fell off since the driver side looked good. While changing it, i found out that the outside one on the Passenger side was gone, the insider of the passenger side was getting to metal, The inside of the driver side had a bit more, and then the outside of the driver side had a lot left.
So basically the ware on the pads went from little to alot from the driver side to the passenger side. Anybody know why that is ??? A friend was telling me that it might be b/c i make a lot of sharp and fast right turns and the brakes has to stop those wheels more. that true??
Thanks

yeah, i think its the caliper, too, because it sounds like a bad metering valve, but late model benzes dont use those. the caliper is probably sticking, so you will most likely need to overhaul it(replace the seal, clean the corrosion, if any, hone the caliper bore, bleed the system) or if you have a spare one, it would be easier and cheaper to replace it.

Definatly a caliper problem. New Calipers will take care of that problem. The only issue is you have to replace both since you dont know which one is acting up.

I have seen that alot on cars... its usually from pads seizing in the calipers or the brackets.. you need to clean all the corossion on where the pad runs in the bracket.. use a file if needed to clean them real good, but dont file them too much as excesive play is not good.
clean them and lube em up.. should be as good as new.

It could be from a number of reasons. Making a lot of turns in one direction can certainly be 1 cause of the problem. Air in the brake lines can be another, as they cause one caliper to work compress more than the other.
I wouldn't automatically consider the caliper an issue, uneven brake wear is fairly regular. Get your brakes bled, pads and rotors changed, then inspect them more often.
