Exhaust flamethrower on a C280? What do you think? I finally came accross some companies that make flamethrower kits, and thought for around $100 it would be a hell of a mod. Some sites say that the catalytic converter may not allow it to work- but this one site says that the converter will just cause the kit to be "less effective". Anyone know if it would still work through the converter on a 280? Here's the site I was looking at:

I'm not going to rice out my 202, I'm just enhancing the cool factor by like 100. The 202 is classy, and I love that about it, but sometimes you gotta have that edge-- which only flamethrowers can provide.

So if you could get back to answering my question about the converter, that would be great.

And Hot Rodders have been doing it to ford 32s way before I was born

Sorry I can't answer your question as I've never really looked into it, but perhaps you can bypass the cat issue altogether by having a fuel/oil spray after the cats?

mod it up the engine correctly and you can have some flames. My friends Camero gots Flames without a flame thrower.

put a spark plug on the muffler tip to ignite the unburnt gas. if you need more gas run the car rich.

Flame throwers will not work on cars that have cats.

They work by turn off the engine spark plugs and runing gas through the exhaust system then sparking that gas in the tail pipe.
