Hey guys.

Lumma is a german manufacturer for bodyparts. This company is about 20 minutes away from my house. I will get this frontbumper in two weeks, my car will be used for limo-advertising. The bumper on the photo is the prototype, it's not available yet. I get the first one out of the perfect production. I think it should be available in january or february 2005.
Will post pictures when it's fixed.

i've never heard of this bumper for our W202, learn something new everyday.

The bumper looks hot except the holes might be too big, you'd need something to fill it in. Like an intercooler in the middle for sure, dont know about the side ones tho.

MrSpace

def. needs an intercooler

hey is it in ABS or fiberglass

because fiberglass is a big no-go for a bumper like this

and it really needs an intercooler

i bet its going to be fiberglass.. would much rather have urethane..

I have never heard of this bumper either and I thought I've been around the block :P

I'm interested in how much this costs and what the real production piece looks like...

its almost perfect for my ride....the IC i have is about the size of the centre hole and the pipes will run through the outer holes....

Although

this luma front is line up nicely than the new Reiger front bumper (on another thread) the air dam opening is way too big..

and all the bumper too squarish.. (I think the shape of the opening attribute to this as well).

While W202 is more boxy compare to W203, a nice body kit need to combine and blend the nice curve on the edges but also maintain some squarish pattern in between..

This one look way to square
look ridiculous.. !!

Plus the design is trying to imittate CLK-DTM front..

This is by MH-Dezent for W209 resemblance CLK-DTM
(This MH-Dezent look way better, and better suite CLK W209 body line, compliment the shape of the air dam opening as well)

Off course this might still be too aggressive to some ;)

The Rieger is discussed here

http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=5596

and it seems noone likes it, but whatever floats your boat

I would get the Lumma wit a bigger IC way before the new Rieger.

I think this front end would look good for you, 23K. I am not convinced about the sideskirts though. I would suggest sticking to something simple, like C36 skirts or something along those lines. I also dont like the back end, so that would probably be the hardest to match to the front. Good luck :)

MrSpace
01-15-2005, 12:20 PM
I would put Lumma front with intercooler
C36 fake sideskirts and rieger rear

IMO that would be the best looking.

Fopr sure you need a big IC in order for the front to look good

Thank you very much 23K!

The weather is fuckin bad today here in germany. And I couldn't wait to take some pictures, I just made them when my baby was off the trailer. Will post some better pics soon.

And please check back, the new rieger sideskirts (the big ones) a custom made rearbumper, cf-hood and cf-wing will be installed soon.

Oh...for contact just go to the site www.lumma-tuning.de and click on "Kontakt". There you'll find an e-mail adress.

Talked to Horst Lumma (the owner of Lumma Tuning) today when I fetched my car, but I forgot to ask if he sells that bumper to the united states.

Regular price for you is (on actual market value) 560$. That's the regular price here in germany. You have to add shipping, toll, insurance and packing costs. And I think some extra costs because the size of the package will be "bulk goods".

I found the importer for lumma tunning here in states. They don't stock parts for the w202 but they would order stuff for me if I was interested in it. I'm waiting for a call back to find out pricing on the bumber.
