where can i get the paint i need for the lip spoiler that goes on the top of the trunk? i tried using some 'auto body paint' from pep boys but it just keeps chipping off. does the 'bending factor' of the lip spoiler affect the type of paint i need?

if its pre-primered, when you first got the part it should be grey colored.

Painting plastics and steel are two very different things. The paint you bought will never work well on plastic or rubber. Even if you spray primer first.

Take the lip to a paint shop...they know what to do. Should not cost much either, plus it won't chip or crack.

Spray paint cans should never come close to a Benz anyways.....
