I have a 97 C280 with 195/65/15 tires that need to be replaced.
I was going to go with 215/60/15 but the rep at Belle Tire said that might rub and recommended 205/60/15.
Any ideas?
Also, will there be any problems fitting either tire on the stock 15" rim (tire too wide)?
Thanks
Hassan

205/60/15 is the correct plus 1 size for this car. Here is a good calculator:

Doesn't +1 usually refer to the wheel diameter size??
In any case, 215 as a width is fine... you might need to go 55 series if that's the case.

and had no problems, with rubbing, in fact I find the car handles slightly better with this size. One tip I experimented with tire pressure for a few months, I found 34PSI on each tire, for my car offers the best handle and ride on these tires. No over or under steer. With the factory spec I noticed a bit of understeer. 28 front and 32 rear is factory for my 99.
