Need Help>Blinking Mirrors not working

I just had a local body shop paint and install my blinking mirrors (ordered from Bekkers). Everything went fine, except for the wiring. the door panels are off and they were going to tap into the blinker wire, but its not working. they checked to make sure it was the right wire by looking at both the front and rear blinker wires and they both work just fine. they also tested all other wires in the door panel and they all work... except for the portion of the singnal wire in the door panel. how can that be, if they work in the front and back, how can the portion of the wire in the door panel be dead>? They also checked all fuses, and everything is fine. So now i am rideing around with no door panels on. This happen to anyone else>? Please help.

...maybe because there is NO blinking wire in the door???

Like MBenzNL said, the turn signal wire is not located in
the door panel. It is located about 2 inches from the door
sill cover. :)

to late now, the shop is going to just tap into the wire under the hood and run it back into the door panel. Prolly not the best way, but as long as they do a clean job i dont care. Thanks for the info

have a question ...what kind of wire do you guys use for tapping into the blinkers?

that's what I did cause i didn't want to fuss with the fuse box or steering column.

I used 18 or 20 guage wire, can't remember exactly.
