Many people have talked about putting C43 V8's in their 280's, as well as trying to bolt on stock Kompressors onto the 6's. Everytime I read a thread like that, it showed that there would be many complications with the installs. So my question is: Would there be as many problems swapping a 2.3 kompressor motor into a 220?

Great question! I'd also be very interested in feedback on this subject.

the engine should have the same engine mount positions, so it would drop in easily, i suppose. then, you would have to replace the ecu, throttle/idle speed module, and if you are gonna use the tranny from the 230k, you will also need the tranny module as well. now, since the 230k uses drive-by-wire throttle, you would also have to get that installed. you will also need the appropriate wiring harnesses for the 230k engine, and you will also need to mount the intercooler to ensure the proper engine operation. and the list goes on...
so, if you are gonna do this transplant, I would highly recommend you dont just buy the 230k engine for $3000+(or whatever you are gonna pay for it), but get a wrecked c230k or slk230k(preferably with rear end or side damage) for about the same money, so you dont have to worry about all the extra parts you will need(and you will need alot of them).
