does MB still sell the 6-CD holder that goes below the radio?
I found a part number B6 781 0041, but most parts depts
told me that's no longer a good number. (and obviusly they
weren't able to come up with anything, except the original
6-cassette holder or cubby)

Thanks for any info!!!

Here in Europe there is a suitable other possibility: a company colled "Fis(c?)her" or something like that. Try to find something similar as car aftermarket producer.

Hope you'll find.:)

probably, yes.:)

but as probably is, they still sell that, also if MB do not sell now.

It's also cheaper probably, instead of Dealership.:)

Ok good. I hope you'll find what you need.

Just saw now where are you from. I've been this holiday in Budapest to spend few nice days, really a nice city with a lot of nice place to visit.:)

Thanks to all who replied! :bunny: :bunny: :bunny:

I was able to get one from my friend who just returned his leased
C43. He put the original coin tray/cubby back in when he sold the
car. It's in great shape, as he's never used it. He only got the
CD holder(from Germany) because he didn't like having empty
hole-look of the cubby.

Next step... where's my cordless Dremel? :D

Ok thanks. How are the speed control on the street? To avoid problem I never passed 140-145 Km/h on the highway but till 100-150 Km from Budapest I made mainly normal street way at 70-80Km/h. Quite a long trip.

Hi,

I am just back from a day off.

Speed control by police is mainly based on in-car and manually operated on-stand devices. There are laser based machines as well as radio frequency equipment. The laser based devices are capable of detecting vehicles from 400 to 1800m, and equiped with VHS cameras to record traffic. With laser based machines the police usually stops you right after the 'accident'.

I have no knowledge of any automatic devices beside the road.

Speed limits are as follows:
Highway 130
Town 50
Other roads 90

We have hijacked the tread:D

So quite a big problem but, as here, I saw a lot of cars overpassing that speed limits
;) ;)

...oh yes, just in time I bought the "vignette" "matrica" (hope this is the correct word) because there they control by cameras the registred number plate car utilizing the highway!

not even in Austria they do this on their highway

Hope to return there.

:D I don't relly mind... it's not like I haven't occassionally
"hijacked" a thread or two and talked about other stuff... :)

Lately, I've seen a LOT of bad red-running around where I am.
These guys would run the lights after the lights have changed to
red for a few seconds.(but still a couple of seconds before the
light for the other side change to green) They have plenty
of space to stop, but usually I just hear them floor the accelerator
and run the red lights at about 50 to 60mph.(or near 100km/h)
Very scary when I'm sitting still in the next lane. :(

We do have red light cameras around here, but not at every
intersection.

Speeding... I don't really mind... as long as you do it in a safe
manner. (and in the absence of cops, of course... :D )
Crusing at 90mph... fine with me if you play it cool and give other
drivers plenty of space. Zig-zagging at 90mph on 6-lane
interestates and terrorizing little old ladies in Buicks... now that's
a no-no in my book... :)

Ok thanks for your support in my hijacking:)

as far as your info, yes speed is really nice but only if "safe" and cops are at home.

I've already loose my drive licence for one mounth:(
