hi guys. i posted on bnzsport about my cracked headlight problem and figure this would be better since everyone's got 202's :D
so driver side headlight lens is cracked from the cold... yea i knw. but it's cause i epoxied eyelids onto it and i guess the whole thing shrank from the cold, then when i turned on the lights, the epoxy heated up very quick but the lens didnt so it cracked... and shattered.... i have a 96 c220.
left light assembly part number is 202 820 0761 (on the plastic part of the assembly)
left light lens part number is 1 305 621 572 (on the front of the lens)

anyway. i ordered a pair of euro spec headlights, TYC brand?

now the problem. the new headlights should bolt straight on. but the connector's differnt. on my old headlights. the connector is a 3 FLAT pronged connector for the H4 high+lowbeam. it is also INSIDE the assembly (gets covered by that back panel) one the new ones however. the connector is a 5 ROUND pronged connector that connects to the OUTSIDE of the headlight assembly. and the highbeams are H3... now how do i splice the wires and change the flat to the round? is it easy work, or should i just return these and order the lens covers and install those. i read nokia's headlight lens replaced ment thread and sounds pretty easy but the parts number from my lens isnt on there... i was thinking maybe my year's headlight lens cant be replaced?
and how much are the lens?

red = H3 low beams
blue = H3 foglights
yellow = day time driving lights
pink = H1 high beams
green = new 5 ROUND pronged connectors that's OUTSIDE the casing
orange = i dunno what the heck these are for. they have a hook connected to them that pulls the housing out towards them... but they have to be removed in order to put the casing on....

the 5 ROUND pronged adapter for the new headlights... i guess i have to cut the wires on the old ones and then attach them to here?

and for the new lights. it seems the lens is glued on and cant be changed. but on my old ones it looks like it can be changed.

ok nevermind i fixed it.

the lens i have are a little different. it comes off but it's not just the glass that comes off. it's made of 2 parts. the glass is attached to a piece of plastic that comes off as well.. luckily for me, the new one is the same setup and a perfect fit! so i took it off and swapped the 2 lenses.... now i have 2 brand new backing to sell.. haha anyone want em? i'llpost up in a classified.

I replaced a lens about a month ago. I spent 30 minutes trying to find one of those stupid clips after it shot into the front bumper-cover.

What type of bulbs are you using? Your connectors look burnt.

throw some tape over the clips next time before you try to pop them off
