i believe it ran me $550 or so for the eisenmann exhaust and an additional $100 for the resonator delete and test pipe.

Ok this is funny.

My last benz was a 1991 300E 3.0, in which i had the rear muffler cut off (replaced with tips) but left the resonator.

My old car sounded EXACTLY like that, not a tone off.

My question is, with my new c280, if i get the muffler cut off, will it sound much different than my old 3.0 300E?

After watching the video again, my exhaust seems a to hit a little higher note in the revs. This is probably due to the fact that the needle might have gone over the red stuff (tee-hee)

Anyways, heres the vid:

When you deleted the resonator, how did they connect the new piping onto the cats? Did they unbolt the resonator and weld the piping onto the cats? Or did they cut off your resonator b4 the bolts onto the cats, and weld the piping to the partial piece of the old resonator b4 the bolts? I have a Lorinser exhaust and am deciding whether or not to just buy the Supersprint resonator or get one custom done.
