headlight...parking light... security light?? wtf

i jus noticed.. yeah i kno i dont pay much attention... when i turn the car off and open the door, a bottom headlight comes on for like 30 sec, im guessing a secuity light or watever... well my concern is only the light side light comes one... do you guys have this too? if so are both lights supposed to come on? both of my headlights work.. when i used them to see in the dark... oh 99c230k

I have a 99 c230K and my front low beam headlights come on. I don't believe my side markers (turn signals) come on during the 30 second period. I could be wrong.

i think those r the fogs that come on. both should, so maybe you have a bulb out or a loose connection. i would take a look at the bulb on the side that is out first and go from there.

on a side note if you lock your doors first before closing them the lights wont come on compared to locking the car after you already close the doors. this only works after you had your lights on.

you have a fog light out..

for some reason the dash light does not alert you to a burned fog light

i dont have fogs tho... it is the bottom part of the headlight... i think the low bean, well i think it is b/c both my low beams work... are there built in fogs in the head lamps?
