infra-red receiver in mirror not working?

just changed the batteries in key contraption and reset everything according to owners manual (press twice, turn key, blah blah) but keyless still doesn't work. any suggestions please?

Do you have to reset everything when you change the battery?

what exactly doesn't work, just the lock and unlock?

when pressing button on key, simply NOTHING happens - lights on mirror dont flash either. doors no longer lock or unlock. it's weird - have changed the batteries in these before and was all good. ugh.

Stick the key in the passenger side door and turn, the key needs to be 'reprogrammed'.

Happened to me once.

did you try sticking the key into the passenger side door or trunk?

thanks for all the input fellas - went to the stealership anyway.

hope this doesnt happen to anyone else since there doesnt seem to be a solution
