I,m in the process of doing the folding mirror mod and was wondering if that switch would affect the wiring.I now realise it wasn't a switch but only a light. As long as the plug on the base is the same as mine i think i might be o/k.

well I dont get it... their HAS to be some type of on\off switch.. like on some other car makers.. they have switch you turn with the key to turn on\off passenger air bag... for people who only drive themself around..

but on our cars..when u first turn on the car.... the light is on.... why would their be a on\off light.. but no switch? maybe you can pull the fuse and the light will come on? I dunno..

I belive that if you plug in a child/baby seat in it disables the airbag and the light on the consul come's on.

Or if your cars been wrecked and you dont want to spent over 800$ on a dash and bad, u get a new control module, and reprogram it to pass airbag= no (sounds like my car, LOL)
