well.. thanx to this forum and boominbenz for giving me the wire diagram I was able to install my system with ease! peice of cake.. this install was in a non bose benz.. so I had to run all the wires myself..

first off.. I had my heart set on the Ipod controller by Alpine so I bought a Flip up screen so I can navagate thru my mp3s easily.. I didnt like it so I busted out that deck and returned it for a Pioneer with touch screen , and which pioneer will have ipod interface in march or something.. so I will wait.

^^^in these pictures are a CDA-1004 alpine and Ipod MINI that belongs to my gurl.. MY 2nd gen Ipod would NOT WORK! grrr I even updated the bios on the sucker over the net. also the Alpine seems pretty plain and boring. the pioneer has cool grahpics when u navagate thru things

^^^here is the model below the Avic1 Pionnner with built in navagation. it plays Mp3 cds and will hopefully have the Ipod interface modual in march.

^^ I had to find these wires and tap into them and run new wire to the trunk

^^^ here is how I fit the 6.5inch polk audio db into the 5.25inch hole.. I just used zip ties to hold it on.. and its sealed pretty well.. I didnt use screws becuz their was nothing for the screws to screw into OH YA caution!!!!!! with 6.5inch speakers the stock screen rubs on the speakers recoil rubber thingy.. you need to shave the plastic off.. it breaks off ez with wire cutters or pliers.

I need to find a good spot to install this amp.. I kinda want to remove the spare tire and build one of those custom planels with plexi glass and lights maybe fit a couple of subs there too.. anyone know some prices on something like that ? altho I could prolly do it myself

isn't the AVIC-N1 awesome man, I had that until x-mas went to socal and when I came back someone try to jack it and broke it. Now its at Pioneer service hopefully it wont be too much to repair. U should also get rear view cam and voice control

for the amp you should checkout my trunk install, the link is below.
Basically the two subs are upfront, one amp on each side and the rest is hidded with the custom built "amp racks" and then wrapped in suede and u can still keep ur spare. If you want to do like a "floating amp in a tub" you can check out the other link thats what i have in my Accord, but u can't keep the spare.

Looking good! I like that you put 6.5's up front, I wussed out with 5.25's. One question, I see you put the tweets in the mirror pannels. Why there instead of stock locations?

Very nice! Those tweets must give nice imaging!!

One thing to remember is stock tweeters are positioned in a cross-firing position!

what does that mean?

also to answer a few other questions.. the buttons in the center console are part of the factory installed phone system & tele aid.. its like a pointless $800-1000 option the previous owner paid for lol...

and the tool to cut the tweeter holes can be bought at home depot for under $5

oh ya.. I also have some custom installed 6x9 3ways in the rear... i'll have to upload pix.. also of how I insalled my amp.

http://www.virusgaming.com/gallery/albums/userpics/10018/normal_alpine%20not%20done.JPG in the 5th pic, why did you have to tap into those wires? i had my set up installed and when they finished, they said my amo was busted! (got it new!) maybe they didn't do this tap.. fyi, i only only have 2 10" rockford subs and a 500 watt rockford amp. your info will be very valuable. thanks!
