Hello everyone,

New user here. I have used the search and found countless speaker size? posts, but not been able to find what i am looking for.

I wanted to clear up what i think is a misconception. The bose stereo in the 2000 c280 has 10 speakers not 8.

Two subs rear deck
Two mids rear doors
Two subs front doors
Two mids front kick panels
Two tweeters dash

With that said if anyone has this same setup can you tell me what size speaker you can fit in the front doors. I want to put a nice set of components in and will use the space in the kick panels to hide the crossovers.

Thanks

6.5 inch fronts
5.25 inch rear

What brands had you been looking at?

I was considering MB Quarts but i think there is no way i could fit that size. Do you have a 2000?

Thanks

Original fronts are small. When you take down the woofer and the bracket , then you would be able to fit a 6.5...

I thought Quart's where good speakers? I have a budget of around 100-150. Do you recomend something else, I really never heard the quarts but everyone I've asked says there pretty good. I am open to other brands though, I just whant to get the best I can get on my buget.

As far as the speaker mount goes, I think we are looking at different ones. My door has a preformed encloser that takes advantge of all the available room there is no mount to pull out and modify it's all 1 peice. I do know what you are talking about, I had a W124 that had that setup.

mb quart's aren't bad at all. boston acoustics are decent too. check out www.phassusa.com i've heard that they're good.

look into Image Dynamics, Morel, etc..

but then again.. i wouldn't know what kind of sound you like.. best bet is to go find some place where its hooked up and listen to it.. everyone has different preferences.. my sound might sound like crap to you and vice versa..

talk to psnji.. he knows his stuff.. plus he got a good hookup on some sea lotus and DLS..

my 99 c230k with the bose seems to have only 8 speakers - don't see anything in the kick panels up front
