View Full Version : M111 Cylinder Head- Differences '97-'02?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering if anyone knows this answer. Potomac has a 2000 SLK M111, 170 typ cylinder head. This and another head from a '99 come up when searching under the w202 C230. However, if you search for a cylinder head for my '02 cl203 Sport Coupe, the same results are not presented.

I want to purchase a second cylinder head to machine heavily for my car. I want to keep the stock unit in shape until I can install Schrick cams, and dyno with the two different heads on.

Are they different?

Just buy the cheapest one and send it to me. I can tell you what kind of changes need to be made and how the best method will be to achieve better Hp.

Jeff I am going to be keeping you busy eh? :) How are the endlinks coming? Do you have aother set of camber arms? Has Lynn sent you his strut yet? I am shipping the OEM Spring and upper bearing tonight via FedEx. Just got back from picking up the spring in NJ.

I will give Potomac a call tomorrow.

If you do intend to send the cylinder head I would also need the intake manifold and supercharger compressor too. Better throw in the throttle body and MAS sensor also. And the used head gasket.
