Where is the best price to buy an advantegarde grill that is of good quailty? ( formymercedes is too pricey and ebay quailty is too cheap) I was going to buy from autoblz but they are no longer selling the s600 grill for the w202, which seemed apparent because its no longer featured on the website?

I just got the grill from bekkers. They have been making high quality Mercedes and BMW parts for years, and can be trusted. Plus the grill from bekkers is the whole grill assembly (not just the five slot insert) wich includes the chrome frame around the grll that your car comes stock with. So all the chrome on the grill looks new, not just the insert. They also have a carbon fiber option. Get a W210 E-class grill from ebay or a junk yard. Spend a couple hours cutting it to fit, looks great. I spent $50 on mine only because I didn't want to wait to find one cheaper. You should be able to get one for less if you look/wait. There's a thread a couple months back with detailed instructions.

yes as I did, but unfortunatly I was not able to find an used one so I bought an original replacement at the Dealership, it was a little cheaper in any case. Cut work is not so difficoult utilizing the stock one as model (I utilize only a cutter).:)

Has anyone buy the carbon fiber grill from bekkers or have seen how it looks. I contacted them the other day and for the carbon fiber they mention that they only sell the inserts you will use the original chrome frame. If anyone has seen it. could you let me know how it looks.

it looks like the carbonfiber sticker. basiccaly its just checkered black and gray squares. Yep and all you get is the insert. Personnally i would go with just the black one.

That is the concern I have, I am looking for opinions on the grill. Should I go with the Chrome one, I have order the clear conners from them and my car is black with cabon fiber interior. I am new so any sugestions will help.

I don't like the look of their fake cf, just looks like a checker board. Go with the regular one. That's my opinion.

i bought the one from bekkers.. not an insert but a full replacement.. i think it looks nice.. makes the car look different.. sort of??? :D

Let me just ask you again. Did you buy the carbon fiber or the Chrome one. I was told by them the carbon fiber is only the inserts. But I just want to make sure.

just ordered the bekkers carbon fiber grill yesterday - looking forward to receiving and installing it. I'll update ya'll if there's any news.

Placed the order & it went through last week. Received email confirmation, but the payment was never billed to my credit card, and I don't know what's going on with my order...

called bekkers up and found out that the carbon grills were discontinued. nobody told me...

anyhow, I was told that the avantgarde grills were coming in the next day and that one would be shipped out promptly.

still nothing. so, to summarize:

order placed on 09/06/2006
email confirm received immediately
waited around a few days, no grill received
called and told that model was discontinued
asked for avantgarde grill instead, was told it would ship right away
nothing received 09/18/2006

What gives?

just spoke with Anthony at Bekkers who mentioned that the grills are stuck in customs. Should be in sometime next week...
