How come there is not an aftermarket headlight assembly for our w202's??? they make them for every other car, including BMW and Audi, i dont see why thy dont make one for ours. I would really like to see a projector/halo stlye on the w202. You would think Bekkers would have made one by now...How can we make this happen>??

once you figure out how to do it, or if you do, let us know, i'll either pay you to do it, or make them myself if i am capable of following ur instruction... do you think if we got enough people who wanted them, and were possibly willing to pre-pay, we could get a company who makes after-market housing for other cars make them for ours>?? just a thought

My friend found a company that does do retrofit projector housings and said he could work on my w202 if i wanted. But he wanted me to check the lens and see if it was 2 parts to it. If it is 2 parts to the lens, then it could be done with a good pattern line. Otherwise, he said the grooves in the headlight lens will mess up the pattern and will not work as well as it should. I saw a gold w202 with clear headlight lens in this forum and i have no idea how he did it. If theres a way to get a clear headlight lens, then no matter what, you can get the full potential of projectors.

I want to do this as soon as possible but I wont be able to drive my car until there done since its my only set of headlights. I am currently looking for a used set just to have for bout 2 weeks until I finish it. If anyone can get me a set cheap let me know they can also be craked or with condensation I just need it so cops wont be on me.

the car looks good.. the custom projector are alright, i picture something a little cleaner in my head though, maybe it needs a clear lens, cuz it still looks frosted on the outside sorta, and a black housing instead of the chrome... but who am i to say, i got stock headlights.

I think its hard to notice that they are retrofit which some people may prefer but I would rather have it stand out a bit, but with a clean look.

That guy's projectors are in the foglight position. slammedc- Did you finish your project? I remember seeing yours in the regular spot.

The company I spoke with can do it, but he said it's best to have a clear headlight lens. Is this possible to get or to make?

the inners are from an R230.. but just the projector lense.. with regular xenon bulb.

I dont have lenses yet.. but when I do make them.. they will be clear.

havent tried using them other then pluggin them into my harness to see if they worked after wiring them up!.. I need to remove my headlight so I can install the new one and aim the projectors and secure them in place.

slammed c i'm using the headlights of an 2004 e 320 that i found some guy had an accident and he bought brand new ones and was nice enough to give me the broken ones . the hid kit and the projectors were intact .the only problem is that the kit is in venezuela and im in aruba for vacation ,but i will be back to aruba in dec i also know this guy in venezuela that will mold the headlight lens out of the same material that bmw uses for theire headlights(a.k.a. polycarbonate) i will keep you guys up to date and ill try to do a how to also . kinda funny since it was looking at youre web page at cardomain that gave me the inspiration to do the retro upgrade:cool:
