Hey guys, I just got my Remus setup from Emray and I'm giving it the once-over to see how I'm gonna install it. It came with the two hook/bracket things on the back end of the actual muffler canister, but I seem to remember a 'J'-hook hanger thinger about mid-way between the cat pipe junction and the canister. I also remember it being welded to the exhaust pipe. My Remus doesn't have one of these. Is this something I should be concerned about? Or is the Remus light enough where it doesnt need one?
Thanks in advance.

is it an actual cat back or just an axle back setup ?

Its the full bolt-on catback. Its designed to mate up to the cats, and includes the resonator delete pipe custom-welded to the can

Ok, so it wasnt the full catback. Whatever. I de-crated it to find it was the axle-back setup. I installed it just the same, hacksawing the existing pipe behind the J-hook, straightening the pipe out, and clamping it on real good. I'm not happy with this though, and I'll be going to the shop to take off the resonator and weld in the muffler once and for all.

As for the muffler; I dont notice any difference in sound whatsover, I was hoping for a little more, but its just a smidgen brighter. This, I think, is more due to the fact that the tips point straight out rather than down to the ground. What I do notice, is a very apparent increase in low-end throttle reponse. It has much more energy in the < 3k range, which was really needed. I notice I don't really have to kickdown to change lanes on the freeway as much as before, it has that extra push where it didnt used to.

I'll post pictures as soon as I find a suitable USB cable for my little camera thing.

I paid $490, which included shipping. Were this a full-on catback, it wouldve been an astounding price. For the system I recieved, it was merely just a really good one. I've been long-winded, but if I forgot anything you want to know, please ask.

btw, if youre curious about the supplier, just search remus source and you'll prolly find it.
