uhh i wanna thank all of you for the help, ive been into mercedes for a while, just that dad could never afford to buy a brand spanking new one, so when i turned 18 he decided with the help of me to buy a 1999 c280, beige?! instead of a 2002 honda accord!

im a relative noob at adding mods to mercedes, but i just wanted to know if this idea would work

brembo/ zimmerman brakes in the front, then if i put oems in the back would tht help or just mess up the car

thnx

Why would you want toupgrade the brakes in the rear as opposed to the fronts? Your front brakes do about 90% of the braking when you hit the brakes.

edit: HA! Looks like he edited it. :)

i think he wants to upgrade the front only, and keep the back stock. anyways, brembo is better than zimmermann, or if you want something even better, go with EBC rotors, they cost about the same or maybe even cheaper, and you can put EBC green stuff pads as well. This is the combo I had on my C280 and it worked very well.

So do you mean buy new front brakes, and switch the OEM fronts to the rears?

since we both have the same car (mines black/black)

this is what i'm going to do..

front
brembo (non crossdrilled/slotted)
PBR deluxe pads

rear
oem disc
oem brake pads

hoping to upgrade to c43 whenever :D

sorry..

i'm not going to use slotted either.. just a plain and simple rotor from brembo..

i heard slotted are alright too..

look into ATE, brembo, zimmerman, etc..

theres many topic in which people give their simple reviews on it.. i'm still searching myself...
