Hey

I was thinking of going with Hif low cats but i was wondering if just straight pips instead of the cats after the 02s would be better?

This wont fuck up my car any will it? I heard i could fuck up o2 sensors, but the cats i want to take away are after the sensors.

So basically if i do this, i will have the precats and then just the muffler, my resonator is gone too. sound good or will i see problems?

any input?

dunno about C43, but C36 has pre and post cat )2 sensors.

what about the smog testing? you will most definitely fail it. but that is not a bad idea, the only thing is that the sound and interior resonanse will be too loud. and no the O2 sensors will not be affected.

im gunna get it smogged first. If i dont like it i will just buy some hi flow cats. But do you think there will still be enought back pressure?

From my experince, slight backpressure is actually beneficial for torque. If you straight pipe the cat and the resonator, you may or may not loose some low end torque, t all depends on the vehicle. for instance, when I had my C280 exhaust tuned with hi flow cats, no resonator and straight thru muffler, the low end was noticably worse, but the mid and top end were awesome. so, I cant guarantee you that you will have improvements in all driving conditions.
