I saw this AMG front lip bumper which I am guessing goes onto the current bumper and just makes it look like an AMG bumper.

Is it worth buying?

Also... I was looking at getting a body kit... how much does it cost to get all 4 parts painted?

I wanted to buy that same front lip from ebay. Im not sure if it fits though. I e-mailed the seller to ask if wich bumper it fits on (94-97 or 98-2000) and he never even emailed me back. Its not to expensive so if you want to take a chance it could be worth it.

abs plastic is almost the same as fiberglass.. it will crack...

not worth it IMHO... save up and get oem..

i think its a c36 lip knock offish..

abs plastic is better quality than fiberglass for bodykits, if they both fit right.
Sport bumper and regular bumpers are the same.
That is not a genuine amg product, but go ahead and try it out, its not that expensive, tell us how it comes out =).
For the price of just paint, it all depends on what type of material is going to be painted and how good of quality paint and work you want done.

fiberglass = bad.. but if you like it then you do..

abs plastic = errh.. not for me...

urethane = now we're talking...

I wonder if it hangs lower than the stock sport lip. I think I might buy it, my only concern is if it will clash with the rest of the sport body kit.

sport bodykit is nothign special. It's the same as all non amg's bumpers. i'm talkin updated bumpers here.
If you want a lip or something simple, go with reiger.

Just letting you guys know that I received the lip last week. The quality is really good, passable as urethane as far as I'm concerned. I'm waiting to accumulate a few other body pieces before sending the car off to the body shop. (Little John's Bodyworks in Downey, CA, my shop of choice)

Thats good to hear.
What year and model is your W202?
Does it have to be professionally installed?
How much is painting it going to cost you?

I have a 2000 C230k. It didn't come with any mounting hardware or predrilled holes, so I'm just going to let the body shop do it since they'll be painting it anyway.

I think most shops can shoot a flat color like white or black for like $50, and pearlescent / metallic for like $100. But I'm a perfectionist. Little John's uses Sikkens paint (same as OEM, I believe), and the highest standard of prep, fit, and finish. It will be about $300 for the lip through them, but there's piece of mind in knowing that it will come out just the way that I want, and is guaranteed for life against fading and other unnatural wear.
