I searched for this, but theres so many ways to spell hardwiring, lol. Anyway, I wanna have my V1 Hardwired with a display somewhere near the dash. I know lots of people have this done. What's a fair price, and what kind of shop would I go to for that? Theres plenty of tint-shops around here, but.. eh?
Any pointers would be appreciated.

I have a V1 installed in my C280. I have it mounted right below my rear view mirror. This is the perfect place for it so that it has a clear view in front and behind you to detect radar. If you want to you could get the concealed display which is an accessory to the V1 which mounts right by your gauges.
Here is a link to see how I mounted my V1: http://homepage.mac.com/schilderink/PhotoAlbum31.html
I got mine professionally installed at a car audio place. I was getting some other work done so I just told them to put the V1 in. I beleive that they charged me for a half hour of work on the V1 which was probably no more than $50.
Both of my brothers have Acura TSXs and they installed their V1's themselves so if you don't want to spend the money you could take apart your dash and install it yourself.

i hardwired my V1 my self, simple job, no more than 20 mins, the hardest part is wiring the wire so you can see it. Jus ttap into a accesory wire like the cig lighter.
