I'm about as NOOB as they come, but I was hoping I could get some input on this forum.
1.) I just bought an H7 HID kit for my 1999 C280 sport. If I were to just plug the bulbs and ballsts into my housing, will I get the same effect as if it were Factory Equipped with HID? Was there a specially designed headlight housing for factory HID-Equipped W202s to reduce glare, or did they just use the same halogen housing as all other W202s?
2.) I just installed an Erebuni C43-style body kit. Has anyone else installed this kit on their car? I have two big gaping holes where the foglights should be... anyone have any suggestions of where I can get a set for cheap? As far as installing them, do I have to re-route the foglights from the headlights down into the bumper to power the bodykit fogs?
Thanks in advance.

hows the fitment of the kit? You can find a set of OEM C43 fogs on ebay for 175$

The kit is just a fiberglass bolt-on so it fits pretty well. The side skirts had to be bolted on by drilling holes through the body of the car, but it looks pretty sweet. I'll post pictures after I get my HIDs on tomorrow.
As far as the C43 fogs, do I have to re-route the wiring from the existing integrated foglights down into the front bumper to power the bumper fogs? How do non-C43 w202s power their fogs?
BTW: Where did you get your rear tail lights? Did you smoke them yourself w/ spray paint from the inside?

Yay please post HID pics i really want to do this, and have yet to find good pictures.
Is there a way you could park it facing a wall or something and take a picture of the beam pattern? This is all im really concerned about.
Thanks!

I just installed the HID kit into my stock housing and it actually turned out great. I ended up opting for the 6000K temperature for a cleaner look.
I had to adjust the direction of the lights toward the ground a bit to avoid shining directly into oncoming traffic, but it still extends a good 50ft ahead with a beautiful white light. There doesn't appear to be random beams of light glaring in all directions- I let my friend drive my car around the block while I followed and there really isn't much more glare than some of the OEM HID W202s I've seen. True, there is no well-defined cutoff and the light doesn't project as wide as I'd like, but for $300, I don't think I can justify paying 5 times as much for the OEM HIDs
BTW... whats this vacuum adjustment?

yeah i did the same shit you did....the light output is good enough and much better than regular halogens.
But when you go into a car with oem xenon's you will see what kind of difference it is and how poor the light output is compared to oem.
I think vacuum adjustment let's you level out and adjust your headlight beam. Either higher or lower.
I've also seen vac adj. on sti's and the infiniti suv's.
After you installed the hid kit, did your lights out function come on?

No warning lights came on after I did the install. I had my lights installed by an car modification shop so I imagine they did it the best way possible.
Does anyone have a set of Silver Vision front indicator lights they want to sell or know a cheap place to buy some?

Don't wanna be an ass here, but it's bekkers.com, not beckers.com to avoid confusion.
...found out beckers.com is some jewelry site after clicking the link.
