I have a 2000C230k

it's the third time I have to change my shut off valve on my car. the check engine light is on and sometimes the little light where the fuel guage is flashes... but I don't feel any difference when driving.

I think the code for the check engine is someting like open loop in the gaz circuit, I could check my old ionvoice.

Now I'd like to know if it happened to any of you, I'm really starting to wonder why it's the 3rd time that it does this.

you wont feel any difference when driving.. its just a major leak in the purge system when you have your fuel light flashing, so it wont affect the driveability of the car.
I know its a problem on our cars.. very common failure with the white shut off valve. but 3 times, thats a lil much.. I had mine fail once.. but never replaced it as it functioned ok again., next time it fails Ill replace it.

are you sure everything in the purge system was tested?.. all the lines, mot valve, charcoal cannister, the shut off valve, gas cap, fuel sending unit(built in pressure sensor in one of them)
its a possibility that the shut off valve kept failing on you.. did you get a free replacement form the dealer? Im pretty sure over the counter parts are warrantied for 1 year form purchase date.. with a receipt of course.
