I think that's right. I believe that's what was stated in the EPC.

MB was kind of funny about how they catalog the C36's parts. when you bring up the vin, it may show up as another car C220, C280 etc, but only after digging into the option codes does it come out that it's a C36 part. That may help explain some of the confusion.

Dr.,

So do you have a C36? if you do, then just look under the car. Too bad I just sold my C36 muffler.

If you do not own one, then the best would be to use the number posted by J Irwan since he owns a C36.

just wanna make shure 100% before I order a replacement the number i posted was off the bottem but they said its not for an amg muffler even though it came off one. that it was a parts number for a diesel

order is custom so its cash up front and no returns.

J It would be extreamly help full if you could just take a pic of the plack and post it for me it would be extreamly greatfull

This is the correct part number.. Just called my dealer to find it for you:

HWA20249000007.A36.

PS. You can find German EPC on German E-bay or if you speak Deutch just call any German Dealer.... I preffer the one in Munich.

interesting my dealer cant find that number. Cost ?

My source has it listed for 1,103.89 Euro. But there may be some discounts/avilability problems. Appears that a anew C36 exhaust is hard to find.. no one "stocks" them...so.... Better chance is to get a used one in good condition from somebody.

1,103.89 Euro = 1,470.54 USD

Hope this helps. If you dealer can't find the part number time to get a new dealer ;)

wow slk320 your price is good!

I just called my dealer and he quoted me 1850.

I also crossed reference the part number against my US EPC and German EPC and also ran a query against my UK EPC and my Japan EPC (Yes I have a lot of parts catalogs to choose from and youll see why in a moment) and that part number all came back correct.

Just for giggles I called a cousin of mines that works for an MB dealership in Beckingen and confirmed it as well

But you did not ask for the resonators, catalytic convters, etc.

I said exhaust system, that means headers to muffler,
All I want is a muffler

J Irwan

Wow..

I didn't know it was that expensive..

All I know it is expensive but I never thought it is that ...expensive

I guess it make sense since the car itlsef so limited.. (hence the replacement part as well -- and considering an exhaust not exactly wear and tear part like wiper insert etc,.. )

I guess I better make keep my exhaust...
unless someone want to buy it I might let it go for$1100 USD (it is in excellent condition)

That sounds about right for the AMG muffler alone, I remeber a member on bnxsport bougth one to do his dual exhuast for his C36. The C36 cat is another 1000 or so. AMG part aren't cheap especially from the stealership.
