Hi,

I'm new here. Just purchased a 98 c230. Want to lower, new wheels, etc.

Any problem with lowering first then waiting a while to buy the wheels/tires?

Would I be better to do both lowering & wheels at the same time? (wondering about rubbing/pads, etc)

thanks

Obviously, it would be better if you did the whole bang at once. Wheels+lowering, but if you are only ready to lower now, you can do it.

Thanks for the reply. Would I wait until I get the wheels/tires for the correct size pads?

It'd be easiest to change the pads when you lower it, but you won't know how low you can go untill you have the wheels on the car.

As far as lowering with the stock wheels, I've been running vogtland springs with stock wheels and shocks for over a month now. I don't think it looks funny at all, looks like it should have come this way to me. I've got a 1.5-2 finger gap in the front with origional pads (#3 i think), and no gap in the rear with stacked pads (#3 with a #4).
