like it says I just bought a 94 C280 with 85K miles a couple weeks ago I thought I would detail the motor to make look nice and ever since then my car jerks when I'm stopped with it in drive. especially if you let the brake off to coast at 2-5mph. it really jerks, It feels like a cylinder isn't hitting or something, so I checked for water in the spark plugs that could of leaked in, and sure enough #4 I think, had about a inch of water in it, so I dried it out good. Though 100% I fixed the problem but nope it still is doing it, so I took it apart again and took out the plug but it looked fine, I have no clue what the problem is and I hate to take it to the $tealership if I don't have to????? Please help

yep water in the spark plugs. get new ones and blow all the water out with an air compressor. make sure to leave the plugs inthere when blowing out the water.

ya need you plugs, then reset the light. hopefully water didn't go into the engine and oil, that'll wreak havoc. good luck.

So when cleaning an engine. What do we cover in the engine compartment.

How do you get to the spark plugs? I have been wanting to change mine but never wanted to go around opening parts of the engine. Can you lead me on a path of where to start? Thx

when cleaning the engine use a spray bottle of simple green and a toothbrush and towels. NEVER spary a HOSE! regardless of how carefull you are water always manages to get in there.

That center section is not black on a 94. It's gray. It should have 6 bolts holding it in place. Changing the plugs is quite easy on that car.
