I want to put in a after market CD player and amps with subs, are there any amps I have to bypass or are the speaker wires going into the back of the stock tape deck? or in the trunk in a amp? any special routes I should take for rca cables and remote wire? I have done 100's of stereo installs but never in a MB, I know in my last BMW I had to bypass the amp in the rear to get the speakers to work with my cd player, I hope I don't have to do that again since I would prefer just run the speaker off the deck, with no bypass

maybe you can help us better by specifying:
- your car model and year
- bose or non bose
- are you planning to power the current speaker using your own amp? using your head unit?

if you want to use your stock amp, please read this http://www.club202.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2029
if you want to use your HU amp, then rewiring is needed.

it's no different than any other vehicle except some small thing are different. since you've done "100's of installs" it should be a snap.;)

its easy... i had the exact same car... i used a bose adapter and was able to use the bose amp with my aftermarket deck...
the bose adapter basically takes the HU amplification and brings it down to a very small output so that the bose amp does all the amplifying... as you know you cant amp an amp...
your aftermarket amp for your subs is fairly easy to install if you are proficient in car audio installation... in fact its much easier due to the location of our battery... only somewhat tricky part is running the wires through the metal wall behind your rear seat....
when you take out your rear seat you will notice some holes in the upper corner area of the wall behind your seats... run your wires through there...
taking the rear seat out is pretty east too... there are some bolts and a red lever... youll figure it out...
if you need more detailed instructions... post more specific questions in this same thread and we can help you...
