getting some vibrations I was thinking the bearing on my drive shaft is gone, according to my mechanic that might fix the problem the part is only 23 bucks so I thought I would give it a shot has anyone done this repair and could give my tips on how to do it I know you have to remove the exhaust to get at the bearing but thats about it do I need any specail shop equipment to press it in ?

you have to remove the driveshaft as well. that means unbolt the front and the back flex disks, unbold the center support(which contains the bearing). when you put it back on, make sure you bolt everything on the right way, even the slightest bolt misalignment can cause premature bearing failure and possible damage to the driveshaft. If you have never worked on the drivetrain parts before, I highly recommend you let the tech do it. expect anywhere from 3-6hrs of labor.

any special tools needed ? toruqe specs ?
any other parts to replace while the drive shaft is off ?

yes, there are special alignment tools that need to be used to properly install the driveshaft. I highly recommend you let the shop do it. its not a DIY project unless you are a skilled tech and have the right tools.

The past can only go when you admit to your mistakes and attempts to position yourself as more knowlegable than you actually are. Sneaking around with a new screen name does nothing to right what you've done.

Without real change, there is no real progress.

I have taken your advice and since them have not posted anything that i was not 100% shure of.

I am trying to be positive its seems you guys just cant let things be

honestly its quite sad if this is all you guys have to do, so just let it be and lets get back to moding and repair benz's

Actually, all we do is...keep this site running, provide detailed information, and help people who are willing to learn and are not jerks about it, in turn we learn from those who contribute. And we'll all continue to do so.

Just don't be surprised when no one's willing to help you out anymore.

Actually, little man, you're quite sad. So why don't you go back to the land of denial, and let us all get back to the business of helping those who deserve and need our help. Mock those who have what you need, and you'll get nothing but a lump of coal.

You've got a lot to learn about how to play nice with others. It's obvious you need this site more than we need your snide remarks. Telling people to "drop it" after you've left a big F-U bomb doesn't mean shit.

Can't make this more simple, but:

Go fuck yourself:p

...and perhaps you can come back when you lose the attitude--if you're lucky

No problem...we're here to help. Who knows, you could be the next Dr. AMG...he was a complete ass to begin with, and now...well, he's still a complete ass, but now he's a mod over BNZsport.

Stranger things have happened. And the cliche still applies...actions speak louder than words.

In any case, good luck with the drive shaft bearing...

like I said I want to be friends and play by the rules, some times friends fight, anyways i am going to be doing some serious moding maybe that can redeam myself, bliking mirrors, finally get around to installing that exhaust and slk 55 rims, lowering shocks, tints, steering wheel, full detailing by my dealership friend

try and do something to that engine i have to do a head gasket, diff seal and the drive shaft bearing.

p.s. i guess there are benifits to being a mod, you can tell people to F off and not get banned from bnzsport and club202

Talk is cheap. Being an ass is another.

Being banned from a site and re-register under a new name to ask more questions = way under fucked up.

You want to be friends???? LMAO!!!!
Friends don't pretend being "smart" and knows the price of an item when they don't even know the part number. Do you have some kind of magic ball to tell you how much things cost?????

And for your info, the exhaust is sold already.

AMG Exhaust Deal (http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=61421&item=7967913882&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW)

I know its not for a w202 but there is the dealer price of probally more then 1500 and then there is this price

I had several parts numbers for the amg exhaust for w202 I wanted to confirm that they were right

"smart" is taking advantage of options like the one above over paying full price at the dealer.

Now this challenges me even more.
When you bargain, you told me it was $450 from Canadian Dealer. Now you are talking about $1500 from dealer??

Have you done research on how mnay C36 in the whole world?
and how many C32?

And have you done research that there are more than 1 type of C36 amg exhaust?

You just pissed me off even more with your reply. Pretending like it's all good?! If so, then I would advise either you go away from this forum for good, or I will request to ban you.

Dr.Drew

dealer said $795 CAD for the same part above just for a C36 yes i know the C36 is far more rare then the C32 i though i would just throw that out there for anyone who has a w203 or may know some one who wants that part

what I ment to say above is that the part I listed from ebay probally would be $1500 for the W203 cat back amg sorry for the confusion

yes i have the diagrams infront of me there are two different amg setups for the W202

pnsji

So you already said these prices:
- US$450
- US$1500
- US$650

So what's next? $100 from dealership?
LMAO

ahhh I just waisting time and bandwidth of club202. Let's just remove this thread and get it done with.

In case you forgot, your email says:

"Thanks, I order it and it came from Germany as a diesel exhaust dealership
is wrong

Anyways if you don't want to tell me I understand, I actually found it for
$390 CAD cat back, but want to confirm the parts number."

And that is being "friend" or being "smart"???

Dr.Drew
04-19-2005, 05:08 PM
yah the parts number that i gave the dealer was from a guy in germany and it was for a diesel for some reason because he forgot to tell me hwa was infront of the number, which means that it is an amg part, when you add the amg HWA it comes up as the correct part and cost 795CAD

I saw a C36 amg exhaust on ebay germany and was watching that the guy gave me the parts number. it was wrong

390 CAD is for a diesel exhaust for the C250D

anyways I have had enough bickering for one day maybe it would be a wise idea to remove all comments not related to drive shafts and or bearing replacement because we have wrecked a perfectly usefull thread

and guess what, the mod privileges is earned...not given !!!

And as newbie, it is always best to get to know the people before making any "wise-ass" remarks.

then again you brought this on yourself.

To my knowledge you won't get any genuine AMG muffler under $1000 USD let alone $1000 CAD ... if you want to challenge my statement then feel free to give me the number and contact person for the dealership, I will be more than happy making profit selling these muffler if I can buy them at these price...

then again you probably haven't ask them how much AMG cats for C36 cost... :) (try almost 2x the catback exhaust )

From now on , try to adjust some of that attitudes Like Renn said don't start something you couldn't handle. People here are generally happy to help other member who need helps.

Most important of all, I'll say right now I don't think none of us tolerate a wise-ass remark especially when you have nothing to back it up.

Again, we'll always welcome a newbie who are willing to learn and contribute to this site. Look forward for your first contribution.. :)
