I have completely black taillights on my black C280. I bought them off of eBay that way.
I want to do the same for my ML. Anybody know what kind of paint is used to do that?
I'd post a pic, but haven't a clue on how to do so.

just buy testor black tint spray, and open your tails, for some reason you can separate the lens fron the frame

Those are freaking sweet. Wish I didn't have a red car or I'd get those.

I think those would look better on your car instead of the stock red and orange ones.

Anybody have a broken taillight you can send me so I can try some Testors paint on it? Be glad to report to all how it worked out. As I said in the beginning, I bought the ones on my 280 off of a German seller on eBay - came all the way from Germany.
I'm guessing the Testors Paint can be bought at a Hobby Store? Any suggestions on prep of the plastic to accept the paint?

I would love to have those tails, but I'd keep the lower reflector red, and all the rest black

so that police leave me alone

Knock on wood - they haven't stopped me yet. And this town needs money, so they are ticketing everybody.

So, to my original query - I found some Testors Black Window Tint about 30 miles from here. I'll go pick up a few cans on Tuesday - the earliest I can go there.

I also bought two used ML taillights off of eBay for me to practice with, and maybe even use when I'm done. If it comes out good, hell, even if it comes out bad, I'll post some pix.

No offense to anyone but for me that blacked out tail light is not for me, i'd rather have a C230 K tail light instead on blackout like that..do anyone know how much is their retail for? thank's man
