my car 's shifter is loose, when i put it in drive, it is easily moved to neutral, had this problem occure to anyone. Any help would be appreciated. thanks

Yes...this happened to me. I think it is called the linkage bushing. If you ask me... it's the stupid zig zag design of the shifter pattern that causes this. Come to think of it.....it's probably my constant downshifting on the tiptronic that causes this!! The dealer replaced it with no charge while under warranty.

I don't know how much it would cost if you went to an independent shop.

bushings are about $2 each and 1-2hrs of labor.

that is it, if you know how not quite so long in labor though
