Hey guys, what was the first year of the 5 - speed auto in the C-Class? - was it 2000? - Can anyone tell a diference in say milage between that and the 4 - speed auto?

1997 was the first year of the 5 speed auto in a 202.

1993-1996 is the vacuum controlled 4 spd tranny.

1997-1999 is the 5spd electronic controlled tranny

2000 is the 5 spd electronic tiptronic tranny ( the best year, got most of all the bugs out)

remember always change the fluid on a regular basis, even thought it says "lifetime" :rolleyes:
