could anyone tell me tyre sizes needed to fit the following wheels on a w202 with minor arch if any modification?

front - 19 x 9
rear - 19 x 10

also if i would need spacers for the back/front.
the ET is 35
thanks

ouch 19x10, good luck

check what Jon Pek had on his W202, it was 19x9.5 and was very tight. I think ET30 would have more chance of fitting, this would mean a 18mm spacer, 20mm standard size.

But IMO you will have a lot of trial and error to get everything right. You might have to put your spacers on the lathe to get them perfect width and try a narrow tire like 245 or max 255 wide so you can save a little rubbing there.

19x9 in the front is not going to fit without major modifications.

jon has the rears listed as 19x10 on his site using a 265 rear tire  i think he had to do a good amount of fender rolling...

I believe that you have to use 19x8.5 in the front and the rear use 19x10 using ET 34..coz that's what i'm trying last time coz the wheels off from CLK W208 but i didn't like it and i don't need to roll the fender at all...i might be lucky or something.

Yes i agree with etienne you should use 245 tire or 255 the max and you don't need to roll the fender too much

i dont mind having to roll the fender, i'l most lykely be getting a wide arch kit anyway.

its the inner scrubbing that im worried about. should i be worried about other parts or is it mainly just the fenders?

How many coil did you cut your springs??

hey, donno, i bought them cut, i think they are 1 coil. the guy i bought them from didn't say.
i scrape some speed bumps on the front sides of the rocker panels tho.
but i am running 205 55 15" tires. not the normal 60 profiles

I have looked into this myself...
I wanted to do 19x9 up front and 19x10 rear.. with 245 or 255 30 19 tires on the front and 275 30 19 tires on the rear.. it can work.. but ya need more then just a fender flare add on for the front.. you will need to probably cut out some of the fender and weld on new metal and widen the fenders a little bit.
the rear will need to be rolled like mad and flared somewhat too!
as for offsets.. your looking at et20 all around for this to work properly.. well as close to properly as possible!
I have done extensive reaserch on this.. finding wheels with the proper width and offset has been very difficult.. I basically found a couple.
In the end I have decided to not do this as the cost of the wheels would be pretty pricey.. and then the weight of the wheels is another issue.. with the wheels needing to be 2-3 piece and forged.. the cost is stupid.. plus even being forged and multi piece.. the wheels will be so heavy that it will just slow the car down way too much.

It will work.. but its more extensive then just slapping on fender arches and rolling fenders.

hey Fastmayte, i think that's the reason why you scrape the front end...i used to have 2 coil cut plus using spring pad#1 it makes my car scrapped the mid bottom part...but you can always put 19" on your car...coz i can put 19 on my last time i try my friends wheel

Hey i agree with you slammed C...you can always put 19x9,5 if you are willing to cut the fender and make it widebody...It's all coming back to our own goals for the car..are you going for the look or the speed...you can always used HRE i think...that's if you got a really deep pocket...hehehe

really? i tried some enkie 18's with 235 40 or 45 profile tires, wouldn't go. i tried some momo 17's they seem to fit but i didn't try them with tires on the ground. i might buy them tho. i tried some other 17's, front wheels hit the edge of the fender. i think my fenders are rolled, not sure, look like it tho.

but i have no idea how much the prevous owner of the springs cut it. it's pretty low. i can't get a floor jack under it without pulling up the car.

Are sure that your fender rolled? coz i can fit perfectly 19x8,5 in the front,,what spring pad number are you using? coz i used #1...in that case probably you got more than 2 coil cut

Hey man, Nice car you got there...Hmmm are still rub using 17" coz i can see that there is a gap between the tires and the rear fender...i think you can put 18" still and change the springs pad number 2 will do just fine

hey thankx alot man. still building it slowly. hard to save money. yea there's gap but if i turn at say 30 mph or make a u turn or anything or go up a drive way/incline while turning, it rubs. i tried 18's. they were sitting at the fender so i didn't buy those. :(
