So i did some reading and it seems that some aftermarket HIDs won't trigger the "lights out" warning on the dash.
2 members said they put in th Mcculloch HID into their 202s and didn't get the lights out warning on the dash...
anyone else put it aftermarket HIDs and not get the lights out warning?
Thanks

I don't have personal experience with the Mercedes light failure system, but if I had to guess, based on experience with other cars, you shouldn't get the light failure indicator as long as your HID ballast is triggered using the factory headlight positive and ground from the H7 connector. Some kits ground to the chassis instead, and this will appear to the car as an open circuit, as if a halogen bulb has burnt out.

HID kits using relays will also trigger the light out indicator since it draws current from the battery directly and not from the original wires.
