Anybody have the dimensions of the stock 230K intercooler? Core only would be fine, or even overall dimension.

yeh its pretty hard to measure the OEM IC....its trapped in by the body structure and Radiator!,not to mention the plastic thingy that blocks of half the airflow to it!!...its a PITA to get out.....
mines on the floor at home...ill measure it tonight...

has anyone retro fitted lets say... a sparco or larger ic that is visable, but still serves a purpose?? i was thinkin about doin this, just to kinda showboat the ic... i know anything is possible, but can it be "easily" done?

23k i saw that you did it, but how much work and $ did you have to put in for the final outcome and in your opinion is the final product worth it? power gain (if any) and visual appearance? thanks man!

Ray,
the IC core dimensions are 430x115x50...its pretty tiny.....and it doesnt get alot of airflow in there!!...

Alboogiee,
I am yet to get her back on the dyno, probley after i finish my 5 month suspension/handling/brake upgrade, which im 4 months into already!...when i do there will definatly be a thread on my IC upgrade and weather it made any significant gain....

there was a fair amount of work to get mine to fit...i had to cut out the spot welded join under the impack bar,as this is a structual part i used a tone of rivits to strengthen it again...
also i removed the lower bumper fixing bolt locations as the IC was alittle too wide....
then theres the fact that there is no room behind the OEM bumper...unless the IC is tiny....so that got attacked by the mini grinder too!!
having a massive alloy construction company near my work was a life saver!!...

Visually it looks great!!,it will be a bonus if at 5.5psi it helps with HP...but im guessing it will be a better mod to use with a pully upgrade etc

Regards,
Paul
