Hi guys.
I would like some advice as to what brand(s) to consider if I am shopping for new tires. I have a set of AMG monoblocks 17s to put the tires on.
I have read raves about Michelins & Bridgestones, but I can't afford that price range. I am thinking more on the lines of Falkens 451 or ST115s. What other brands are similar to these Falkens in terms of price, and quality?
Thanks for your inputs.

You can try Kuhmo's.
For the money, the Falken FK451's are a great deal. I was very happy with them when I had them on my car. Plus, I just think that the tread pattern they use is kewl.

I had ST115s on my last 2 cars (A4 and Mazda6), and am just waiting for the Kumhos on my C43 to wear out so I can buy yet another set of ST115s. I found them to be quiet, grippy, and predictable.

I had Falken 451s on my 18"s a few years ago. i really liked them. They gripped well and were more affordable than the other name-brands. They sure did wear out fast though.
I have Kumho Ecstas on my backup set and when i drove them from the tire shop, they felt good. I only put 17 miles on them though. But they were MUCH quieter than the set of Nitto 450s I had from the prior owner when i bought my car. Those were hella loud, and did not grip too well. I think the Kumhos are a great deal. if I recall correctly, speedybenz used to rip-up the track with Kumhos and reported no issues.
But as NJ asked, what would be your price range?

Thanks guys for helping me out here.
NJ, i got a quote from America's Tire for a set of 451s for $450, mounted & balanced. I have tried a few other shops, but they don't match this price.
And size I am getting are 225/45 for the fronts, and 245/40 for the rears.
