what offset are most guys running on staggard setups i know my front will be the same at ET37 but have seen Et30 and ET 34 for the backs the rims i am looking at getting are Et30 think they will work on my W202 there 8.5 wide
hey what size diameter are you thinking of running??...
im running 19's 9.5 et40 rear and 8.5 et35 front....
the rear fits ok...but the front is very close to the top control arm,if your running et37 for the front in a 19x8.5 you will be very close!!
running lower et on you rear with the 8.5 rim will look good and et30 should fit....
tires will also affect the whole outcome....

Paul

since the outside diameter is going to be the same as lets say 15" 17" will i have any camber problems, ie do i need to get a speedybnz setup ? what about lowering ?
if your not lowering your car there should be no need for camber adjustment, but if you are then speedybenzs parts are great....(got mine last week!)....

my car came with "sport" mercedes springs which are a little lower then non sport models i honestly think its just a different spring pad but I do plan to lower the car about 1.2 inches so I guess I will need to get a camber kit if I do so
thanks you have been a big help

Wow you guys are running some really conservative widths and offsets. I'm using 18x8.5 front and 18x9.5 both with +35 offset.
It's FLUSH. Tires are 235 front and 265 rear, which gives just enough stretch to not require camber to clear the fender. I'll post pics soon.

Is camber not adjustable at the alignment shop without any additional parts? Or do you need the speedybenz camber kit in order to correct the camber?

mercedes benz has very little camber adjustment i think they offer some special bolts other then that, if you take a look at speedy benz product you will see that there is alot more adjustment on his then some specail bolts
so how my camber over the year on the rear passanger got way out of spec they can correct it to the max but i dont think its in the recomemend zone with speedybenz kit it should be able to correct this as well as the effects from lowering and adding lower profile tires

my front fenders had to be rolled 10mm to avoid my 19x8.5 et35 35/235 .....and i also cut out the metal joint where the bumper meets....
my rears fitted, but they hit when the car was jacked up....a small spacer will fix this....

Front would have been fine if you stretched 225's, but rolling the fender works too. I just like my fender too much.
I don't know why the rears didn't clear.
What kind of tire was this? I know some have more square shoulders than others.

it all started when i went out and ordered some goodyear eagle F1's,they had the rear 245/35 in stock,so i had them put on straight away...
but the fronts were on back order from overseas,so i waited a month then they told me the 225 in the eagles was now not available....
through the process off elimination, the 235/35 were the only alternative...that and i was to stubern to change brands...
now that the car is lowered its going to need more metal cut from where the bumper and guard meets...
the rears are et40,9.5...this causes the rim to touch a part of the chassis when the car is jacked,so i was limited to 245 on the back(these are already big enough HP killers)...i will probably incorperate a 5-7mm spacer at some stage...

your et35 and 18" size make it an easy fit, also having an 18 up front with 235 would fit easy too....

Yep, and it has lip, and the front will clear big brakes. It's hardly short of perfect. =)

All else being equal (same tires, alignment, springs, pads, face thickness), you will have 12.7mm more clearance than me in the front, and 25.4mm more clearance in the back.
With the front, you can probably get away with straight camber and be sitting pretty, but the back will probably make you want to get a spacer since it is 1 full inch from being flush. Even correcting the alignment, it still won't come close to matching the front. This is why most of us use staggered fitments.
