I've always hated that the car beeps at me after I start it before I have time to fasten my seatbelt, so I figured I'd take a look and try to fool it into thinking the seatbelt is always fastened. I figured I'd be cutting wires and stuff to do this, but I was surprised at how easy it was.

I traced the wire from the seatbelt reciever thing on the seat underneath the seat and up to a black plug on the front. So I unplug the wire and turn the ignition, no beep!!! This took like 2 min. at the most and there are NO side effects. I feared that the seat belt warning light or the SRS light would come on or something, but no. It's just as if the seatbelt is fastened all the time.

Has anyone else done this? I searched and found nothing.

Now just figure out what to disconnect so we don't hear that annoying buzzing sound when a door is open and the key is turned to the electrical setting. (engine is off) I HATE that sound.

the buzzer is behind the instrument panel. what I did was I unplugged the buzzer, but then the dome lights did not work, so then I took the buzzer apart and broke the resonating parts on the inside, put it back together, opended the door, the lights worked and the buzzing sound was still present, but much much less almost nonexistent.

Sweet. I have to take out the instrument pannel anyway to replace a ligth bulb, so I'll try this. Thanks Nenad-
