Well as it turns out, I must have gotten the wrong K23 kit. Upon attempting to install, the pulley was so large it was hitting the tensioner for the supercharger and alternator pulleys.

Am I correct in assuming that this one is for later M111's? My car is a 2000 produced on 12/99.

Ray,

Post a picture of your engine bay, i can tell you if your car is a pre-or post 2000 model. Kleemann does not make pre-2000 pulley kit anymore. ASP is the cheapest pulley kit you can buy for the pre-2000 model.

Only March 2000 or later production date will work with the K23 kit. :(

I ran into this problem when I installed their pulley on a C230. I had to lay a file on the pulley while the car was running so I could clearance it. YIKES! I felt a little backyard style when doing that. If I remember correctly, the supercharger pulley or "Ring" was actually hitting the waterpump pulley, is this what is happening to you?

My only clearance issue is that the crank pulley hits the tensioner for the supercharger belt. It's not even close. Can't file it. I bought it from someone who had it on their W203, so it's possible that it's just simply different.
