Help needed guys

I am planning on taking off the emblems on my C280.
I have read some posts here on how to do it. I am just worried of leftover marks, after taking the glue/adhesive off.
Has anyone experience this? If so, how did you take off the "shadow-effect" of those emblems after being on the car for so many years.
Thanks again for all your helpful advice.

there was no shadow marks on mine its a 1997 but there was marks where it looked like the badg cut into the paint a little polish and its gone or hardly noticable unless you get a magnifine glasss

I will try applying polish after removing the adhesive.

I have had the same experience as Drew on a 1997 744 210 that was debadged about 2 years ago. No marks, no shadows.

hair dryer or a warm day (not heat gun)
floss
light use of goo-gone
polish and wax as usual

i debadged my 1998 C230 in 2002, no marks..
but i think it depends on how often u park ur car outside....
good luck

I was a little afraid of useing goo gone on my paint because i used it at work to remove glue from some tape that was on my desk and discoloured it but it worked fine it even says on the can that it can be used on automotive paint.

heat with a hair dryer then floss it , then goo gone you may need to do it a few times, then wax and or polish and wax.

now you have a sleeper

Thanks guys for all your inputs.
I will try debadging this weekend. It's time to polish and wax my car anyway, so this is a perfect time to do this.
I am "encouraged" to debadge because I just noticed recently that the "C280" seem to be misaligned or the numbers seem to falling?
Has anyone had this?

I debadged everything but the c36 like this works fine. The 6 in my c36 seems to be tilted a bit. I want to break down every time I see it. So it's coming off now too...

Yeah, I can relate to that. I don't know, I kinda like the clean look anyway.

When you debaged, did you use goo gone, or something similar?

Just clay it. Clay is the BOMB when used right.

Didn't get a chance to do it last weekend, hopefully this weekend I can do this.
